I just used the message system for Lu.ma to send a system email with additional instructions for tonight’s Techathon Thursday with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Just in case it ends up in your junk/spam folder, below is the message that was sent.

Here are some additional instructions for tonight's Techathon Thursday that you are registered for.
If you registered in the last 24 hours, the initial instructions are at the bottom of this email.
Additional Instructions
Participants will need locally (can be installed tonight but would be more efficient if you already have): AWS Account (https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/knowledge-center/create-and-activate-aws-account/)
This would allow you to follow along with the first 80% of the demo.
If you want to launch the sample app locally, then on your local machine you would need:
Initial Instructions
You are registered for tomorrow's Techathon Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
If want to follow along hands-on you will need an AWS account to work with (not your production account if you have one!).
Here are instructions, as well as a video walkthrough, of how to set up an account:
https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/knowledge-center/create-and-activate-aws-account/
You do *have* to add a credit card in the signup process but we will focus on services in the free tier where possible, and overall costs for the workshop would measure in the “less than $1” range if you delete the resources post-workshop.
You will also want to create an administrative user (with a strong, unique password!) and download the credential file as per this video - https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/knowledge-center/create-new-iam-user/
Feel free to call or text me (+1.403.874.2998) if you have any questions.
Stay healthy and have a GREAT afternoon!
